Early Withdrawal Penalties
CD terms of one year or less will be charged a penalty in an amount equal to 90 days' simple interest on the amount withdrawn. CD terms is of more than one year will be charged a penalty in an amount equal to 180 days' simple interest on the amount withdrawn.
Renewal Policy and Grace Period
All automatically renewable Fixed Rate, Variable Rate, and Instant Access CDs will renew into the same type CD for additional periods of the same term, except Bump-Up CDs, which will automatically renew as a regular fixed rate 12-17 Month CD, without the bump-up option, unless you notify American Bank during the grace period which is 10 days after maturity that you wish to redeem your CD, or notify American Bank prior to the original or any subsequent maturity date that you wish to redeem your CD at maturity, or have been sent a written notice from American Bank notifying you that American Bank has decided to not renew your deposit at maturity.
