While the 1.60 rate is not great, I am happy with the bank-they send you an email when you make a transfer and when it is complete. You can have more than one external bank and transfers are easy

CAPITAL ONE IS THE GREATEST BANK WITH THE BEST SERVICE. WE HAVE 5 ACCOUNTS. THE WEBSITE IS SO EASY AND THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS GREAT.

Are you kidding me, I've been a long time customer, make payments on time, Capital One is selling out like the rest of the Banking industry, they tripled my finance charge, (my reward for having excellent credit score), and in the same letter want me to invest $10,000 dollars to make 2.01% interest on it?? Can they not do the math. You better seriously watch what's not in your wallet!!!

Caveat Emptor...it is a tiered rate, so your actual yield is less than meets the eye.

I'm betting that last week's drop to 3.5% will be followed by at least another quarter point drop. The original 3.75% was probably a teaser rate to get people in the door.

Beware. Capital One employs a devious interest practice. When you do an electronic transfer they don't credit your account until a couple of days after the money leaves your bank account. They gain a couple of days use of your money interest free. Perfectly legal. Perfectly reprehensible.

Just opened an account. Not as intuitive at first. However, once you start to navigate and become familiar with Cap One's website, you'll find it very user friendly.
Good security (use of special characters for password).

So far so good. Easy to open. Rate dropped .1 2 weeks after opening with no notice. No troubles so far
