I had an interest in some CD's due to maturity and was looking for a better rate in todays market. After reading the reviews on EverBank, I think its best said "Let the buyer beware" or as P T Barnumb stated "A sucker is born every minute". I wont let this outfit suck on me. Thanks.

Everbank is terribly slow in releasing the money when you want to withdraw using ACH transfer. What typically takes a day or two for normal online banks takes them 3 to 5 days. In addition, they only allow $50K per day and $100K per month withdrawal. Totally defeats the purpose of having online banking. Everbank equals TOO MUCH RESTRICTIONS! Avoid unless you want to deal with hassles!

Do not ever use Everbank. They made me request to have my CD closed by email 3 times and by mail once.
They then claimed to have closed my account on 4/27/09.
It is now 5/13/09 and I am still waiting for my check .
I am now told I need to send in a notarized affidavit that I did not receive my check and wait 30 days after they claimed they sent me a check before they will look into sending me a replacement check. Think about it, is $10 or $20 more you get in interest worth the effort?

Everbank's Yield Pledge Money Market Account is a real screw job for existing customers. Their REAL rate on this account after their INTRO rate runs about half a point lower than they advertise. In today's savings market half a point is not just a little bit.

I have an everbank account and i am very pleased with it. The opening process was a bit annoying, but afterwards it has been great. They refund any ATM fees and customer service is nice. It does requires a bit of learning, but I am still happy with it.

Don't deal with them. I filled their application online. I had a few questions and decided to call them before to send the check. Nobody picked up the phone. Once I waited for 30 min on hold. And the check should be sent to the Everbank, not to yourself.

don't waste your time. After filling out the online application ypu are told yu must mail the applicaton along with a check. They'll sit on your check for several weeks, if you call to complain they'll day their backlogged with a surge of recent activity (the same line they've been using for years). withdrawing money is also a problem. obviously they are running a scam to make money on the float. I don't know how they can do this and stay out of jail.

I agree with the previous messages. Everbank just takes too long to show transfers in the depositors accounts. My funds were taken out of my linked account on the 18th and today, the 21st, still no sign of the deposit. I may go elsewhere unless this process is streamlined. We use the internet for speed, not for delays that benefit the bank.

Furthermore, Everbank refused to let me ACH/EFT initial deposit to my new account. Sounds fishy?
Why? I guess with ACH/EFT, applicant could initiate transfer in or out from applicant's end.
If you write check or wire transfer to Everbank, Everbank has the control of your initial deposit and it's up to Everbank when to transfer the money back to your own account after it is approved.
Everbank wants to hold on to your FREE loans to them for as long as possible.

Everbank wants you to write a check payable to "Everbank", NOT your name, before they approve your application.
Everbank can make a lot of money with these initial deposits of many many $1500 from applicants if they delay a few days to approve your application. Or if they disapprove your case, it might take many more days to return your money.
Everbank will approve all preliminary applications and ask everyone to send in a check in Everbank's name 'first' so that it always has lots of free loans from you, the applicants.
Normally banks ask for a initial deposit check payable in your own name so that the money goes to your account, not the bank's account.
