I opened account a few months ago and it is going well. Downloads right into Quicken and there is also free bill pay.

I did not have any problems opening this account. It did take a few days for them to contact me confirming my account set up, but the checks and credit card associated with the account came within 5 business days. A little patience and a call to headquarters goes a long way when you are really concerned about your investments. I would recommend this particular account.

Horrible experience...
After hitting the application "submit" button there was no communication of any sort for 7 days, I thought I was on a fake website or the submission failed. By the time I heard from them, I already opened an account with GMAC which was a night and day experience
What's worse was when I requested account to be closed, they told me there was a $20 account closing fee
Not a good customer experience

I opened one of these accounts a few weeks ago. they do pull a credit check but it is an "account update" check or soft pull. I opened it at 3.00% now it is down to 2.62%. Still a lot better than most. Free deposits by mail(including the postage paid label print out), ATM usage in the network, checks and transfers from all sorts of accounts.

I have the express mma with Flagstar and my rate is 3.55% APY. Haven't had any problems with them since opening my account about 10 months ago. I can do 1 day ACH transfers to and from other banks. This hasn't been a teaser rate for me. I have 10 accounts connected to this account for transfers. Works great.

update on Flagstar.clicking on link from this site takes you to flagstar's express money market-promo account (although it conveniently leaves out the word promo. it is apparently is a teaser rate- there actual express MMA is 2.48 . You can not get to there home page from that site that gives you this information. you have to go to this link :https://www.flagstar.com/publish/fbc/fsb/en/www/pe/sa/viewrates.html .Their method of advertising seems shady at best. I am therefore not going to open an account with them.

I just called Flagstar and they assured me they do not do a Hard Pull credit check
