For Certificate of Deposit accounts with terms of 7 days through 29 days, the Early Withdrawal Penalty is 7 days of simple interest at the rate being paid on the amount withdrawn.

For Certificate of Deposit accounts with terms of 30 days through 179 days, the Early Withdrawal Penalty is 1 month of simple interest at the rate being paid on the amount withdrawn.

For Certificate of Deposit accounts with terms of 180 days through 364 days, the Early Withdrawal Penalty is 3 months of simple interest at the rate being paid on the amount withdrawn.

For Certificate of Deposit accounts with terms of 365 days and over, the Early Withdrawal Penalty is 6 months of simple interest at the rate being paid on the amount withdrawn.

Renewal Policy and Grace Period

Your OneWest Bank Certificates of Deposit will automatically renew for the same term and at the current available interest rate in effect on the account’s maturity date.

There is a seven-day grace period, which begins the day following the maturity date, when funds can be transferred to another account or withdrawn.
