Best online savings bank available...no hassles, trustworthy (hey, its a division of Emigrant Bank) and fast customer service. Easy to set up account online and make transfers. If this bank ever offers CD's at 6 percent, Im all in.

We're rookies in this if anything (just never any money to invest till now) and amazed at how easy it was to open a DSD account and link it to our daily checking account - painless. It's just great to see your money grow daily and posted monthly! Just a reminder: the LOVE of money is the root of all evil!

DollarSavingsDirect. They withhold interest on account if zero balance at end of the month! I had an external link account to an online savings account. You are allowed to have only ONE linked online savings account. The other linked account has to be a checking account. Never to do business with them again!

Quick account setup. Good transaction cycle. Good security. Website has the same layout as Emigrant.
Hint: Dollar Savings is an Emigrant company.
Not sure if Dollar Savings will maintain a higher APY over their parent company. Time will tell.

Just opened an account online - very easy and good phone customer service if you need it. The external account verification was quick (one day) and the money appeared in my Dollar Savings account immediately after it left my external account (unlike WTdirect). So far so good. If they cram down the rate like they did with Emigrant, I am outta there, but if they keep the rate competitive I will stay.
