American Express extends its financial expertise to bank savings products. American Express now offers a high yield savings account and certificates of deposit to people who don't have an AMEX card. The savings account has no minimum balance requirement, no monthly fee, and one of the faster ACH funds transfer systems available at an online bank. The certificates of deposit don't have a minimum deposit requirement.
