Account Notes
The Money Market Account is Century Bank's highest yielding account. Check writing is available as well as a VISA Check/ATM card. Be aware that the Money Market Account only allows three free withdrawals each month. Any additional withdrawals will be assessed a fee of $5.95 per withdrawal. It takes a minimum deposit of $1,000 to open the Money Market account, but after the first deposit, there is no minimum balance required to maintain.
The High Interest Online Checking account comes with unlimited check writing and a visa check/ATM card that reimburses up to five ATM fee surcharges per month. The checking account also features free online bill pay and free first order of 50 checks. This account pays interest on only the first $50,000 on deposit.
One negative to Century Bank is that it doesn't have an online system that allows customers to initiate an electronic funds transfer. Electronic transfers to and from Century Bank will have to be initiative from another bank that provides that capability.
