0.9% from an online savings bank? Nothing "Grand" about that yield. I can do as well with a brick and mortar bank just down the street.

They cut the rate to 0.9% today from 1.05%.

They just reduced the rate to 1.05% and dropped to third from the bottom on my list of 12 online accounts. $25 to keep the account open and all the rest to American Express (1.3%) and Ally (1.29%)

Sorry, that review I gave is for Emigrant Direct, not Grand Yield Direct. Grand Yield is currently 1.25%...better than most but Ally is better at 1.29%. Transfer time is about average with Grand Yield.

Very good website. Easy to use. Transfers won't break any speed records but the time is accepable. Interest rate it horrible at the moment (1.10% APY.) I use their Mastercard, keep $10,000 in the account and get back 1.4% of all purchases. I put almost all my bills on the card, pay it off every month, and every six months they credit my savings account with between $48 and $68 in rebate. It helps make up for the terrible savings rate.

besides the slow ACH of 3 business days and somewhat not the best online layout, GrandYield Direct is a good option.

At the time of enrollment, the bank required proof is identification. Customer service was open and allowed this to be done via fax. This helps speed things up.
One of the best APY (5.27%) to date with a $1 minimum deposit.
Transaction is takes 3 days (a bit slow for my taste, but worth the wait) and the email notification of the transfer is informative.
Website could use some improvements.
Allows the use of special characters for the login password (this is nice for those that are security minded).
